New: Jersey & Vegas Collections
Available today are the Jersey & Vegas Collections! These are more difficult than the first 3 Collections, but they will provide even better rewards. Check them out now by visiting the Collections section of the My Mobster tab. If you are having trouble getting all the items, be sure to use the Wish List and don’t be afraid to ask your friends for help!
More difficult.. yea you said it. WHAT A WASTE!! Spent over 1000 energy and DID NOT GET ONE item. That is ridiculous.. and a terrible addition to the game.
You guys where not kidding. I went through 2395 energy in Jersey and just got a Gold Chain.
love the collections!!!!!! Hate that you can only send 24 gifts a day!!! What is with this??? much better when we used to be able to send 50 gifts a day!! then i could at least send all my best mobbies a couple nice items. fix this soon please

your development efforts should go to adding more replayability to the game.
something along the lines of secondary collection items for doing missions (or fighting, like when you lose an attacking fight, get countered by a spirited defense, or score a critical hit for that matter) that reward consumable items make the collection more useful than a one-shot reward.
the current collections become exceptionally disinteresting once the player and every mob member they give a crap about have finished the collection.
have them drop stamina, health, or energy boosts.
or here’s a really obnoxious way to make people play more.
create a collection that rewards casino chips, the casino chips being the only way to play the mythological non-favor-point slot machine.
Umm better rewards??? Are you kidding me? 1% critical hit lol. Wow 1% so 1 time out of every 100 you’ll get an extra critical hit. Lame!
I like All Of The Above,You Guys are So-Busy putting new stuff,missions,collections,Etc,Etc, And every MISSIONS takes so much ENEGRY it would be real nice if My Gifting of (3) weeks that has been BROKEN would be fixed so I can gift to friends and stop hoping some-one gifts me.Three letters,Three EXCEPT REPLY LETTERS I come to believe each COMPLAINT has a routing section it goes to and the pre-typed letter gets sent out,How unfare of PLAYDOM is it to not have this fixed,Please don’t tell me AGAIN your working on it FIX-IT,These new miisions take an abundance of ENEGRy most with-out rewards.
I managed to get all of the items from Jersey…but Vegas is a bit tougher…
Indeed guys, I spent all over 1000 of my energy on the NJ missions and got nothing. Making it harder is one thing, but this is to much. I’m heading back to working on the new missions until you fix this.
Ayo WTF! I wasted 3000+ on Vegas and i didn’t get jack crap! Please fix this issue…
how come i completed jersey . the bronx , downtown , miami , and vegas and did not receive one collections item can you please explain that to me . do i have to go back now n complete everything all over again like wtf.
The new collection missions drop items way to seldom to make playing them worthwhile, when compared to the tiny rewards offered upon completion. This is not cost effective when you consider return on investment.
All I can say is the “rewards” had better be darned good for all the energy points being wasted trying to get the collection items. This game is going to the dogs fast.
Hey, got some bugs for you, but these aren’t related to the new collectibles.
As I’ve said several times before, there are some problems with the avatars. I’ll link the pictures at the end of the post. But, what has been happening is this: I’ll unlock a new avatar item such as a pants one, but I’ll already have 8, so some of them will be pushed off of the screen, leaving only the top visible, so you can’t tell what they are. But now, I have 13 items for pants, so one of them is no longer visible at all. Another thing thats been happening is that when fighting in the Bronx, it won’t use my strongest 10 explosives, which are Napalms (20 attack, 7 defense), but it will you the Chechen Bomb Truck instead (20 attack, 0 defense), so my total defense is lowered by 70, which is irritating.
I’ll link the pictures now. Oh, and to the people moderating the comments, I don’t really care if you let this get posted, just so long as Playdom hears about this, and does something about it.

playdom if uve read any of my posts u kno ive been complaining about the favor points and fairness well i have to tell u this the 2 new black market items are perfect they are at a reasonable price and have good stats so i think ill get them if only all items u sold were like that i hope u do more like this congrats uve pleased me for once as far as collections go i think the rewards should be better they arent good enough to make me want to waste my time and energy doing them since im wasting all of that in moscow i also noticed that i had platinum mastery of a few missions and now i do not? its not a problem cuz ill just go get the cool weapons again lol but u might want to fix that
i got every thing from jersey. you people wine too much. do you really want to be able to do everything real quick. i’m always up for a challenge. it’s gonna take you guys a little while to get it . sounds good to me.
I got only 2 items from Jersey, I have not found the other 4 items yet. I tried a few times in Las Vegas but didn’t get the items in Vegas at all.It is tougher compared to Bronx, Downtown and Miami which are easier to get the collection items.Please fix this.
This is just ridiculous… I’ve already mastered Jersey, and now have to go back and spend MORE energy to get something that LOWER players will get while playing. That makes NO sense. This is great for low level players who still have to do Jersey, so spending the energy doing missions is expected. But for those of us who have already done it, to have to go BACK and do more, just for 1% crit hit? If the location is mastered, it should be given automatically as a benefit. Just another way that the word “completed” means nothing to Playdom. (See moscow’s “complete this mission” for reward… but oh… you might have to go PAST completion to get it..” CRAP) C’mon playdom… you can do better!
Well, I checked out the “rewards” and they aren’t worth diddly squat. Want to give us something useful? How about a 1% shot at a kill? Or, 1% shot at hitting a motherload of $1,000,000 on missions?

. I like it playdom. Keep rolling out the new stuff that is hard to complete. Makes for more gameplay. But please keep in mind what Tyler said about replayability. Not necassarily his specific ideas but replayability is a great idea and a way to keep people coming back.
What a waste 6K in energy and 2 days wasted looking for the new items for collections and only find 2, which one was send as a gift. And IDK what you guys did to the gift systems last night but out of 20 that ive sent or received today with in 2 or 3 mins they are all expired. Now not only cant they be resent but im out the gifts and the ability to try and resend because it still counts as a sent/ received gift. When you want to play the most there is always something screwing up!!
Instead of putting out more crap, how about fixing the bugs?!?
Can’t even do anything in the game for hours now. Gifting is all messed up. I get many gifts that have “expired” yet they were just sent. I received a crooked cop instead of a crooked guard after completing that Moscow mission. Won’t be able to do the other mission that requires the crooked guard. Never received that gun to either kill Natasha or Karilli even though I’ve platinum mastered the mission. The GF hitlists are a joke. The funeral thing never works.

Well, I finally received a few items from Vegas. It seems that there’s a low drop rate there…

What a bunch of whining crybabies. If you think you are wasting your energy on that then go back to doing something else. Always complaining about a game that doesn’t cost you ANYTHING to play.
The bonuses for the LOW LEVEL areas are gonna be weaker. Jersey is a LOW LEVEL area.
If you was just starting out these collections would come easy. How much energy do you think it takes to clear all of Jersey? More than 1000

Players spend 30,000 energy on Vegas or Jersey just to master the area. It just SEEMS harder if you have the area already cleared.
1000 energy is not a huge amount of energy. Where is the non noob blog?
For the record…. I am 1 item away from the Jersey collection and three items away from Vegas. I spent about 5000 energy so far. I will have the collections and you will all still be posting about how upset you are.

…GREAT idea. Make a randomly dropped loot item (casino chip) available everywhere. Make its drop % based on energy, like 0.1% per 100 energy expended. Let these rare chips be used at the godfather casino, either the slot you have now, or the FP-free slot you assured us was coming long long ago.

I’ve only gotten 1 item from jersey after about 3000 energy and i’ve gotten nothing from vegas… from now on i’m done with the new missions i’m only doing the old missions that gives me stuff… coney island is screwed up for players like myself who have lvl’d to way over 100 and moscow is screwed up for everyone. just stop addding new stuff til the old stuff is fixed
I like that the collections are harder this time around. It took me two days to get all three of the old collections, and I kinda wished it would’ve lasted longer.
I don’t think I’ll be able to get these collections for a while, but hey, it’ll give me something to do after I’m done with Moscow!

I only have 500 energy totall.. Ive been paying the hell out of Vegas and have gotten almost all of the collectables. I think they did a great job making it a little more challenging. Make the mobs work together and the offer of “send me a gift ill send you a collectable” worht something.
If there was a way to search through the names when your trying to gift a collectable. that would be nice!

wow, complaints complaints, well i’m happy, got both new collections without much trouble and with some help from 2 mobbies, personally i like the D&G sportcoat, very sheik, oh and i love the FRO but it should have a pick sticking out of it, don’t u think?

not a bad add on, since u now put the critical hit chance from collections, could you put spirited defence chance from the next location collections too thx.
Suggestions and minor annoyances…….
1- How about a collection that gives you a 1% chance of an energy refill?
2- Please bring back the Dragon coin. Energy is so critical as players get to higher levels. In many cases you need several Energy drinks just to do 1 mission.
3- Perhaps gifts for higher level players? Maybe it could count as 5 regular gifts?
Annoyances-
1- When you click to “Help Out” a friend and you are told 5 people have already helped them ( but it was posted 28 seconds ago ).
2- Drop rates for items needed to complete Moscow.
3- Very low payout rates for Exp/energy ratios in Moscow.
4- Lack of ability to purchase good ( LE type ) items with anything other than FPs.
5- Getting missed card days in the poker hand because you were playing at 1am and when it refreshed you have a missed day.
Perhaps you are trying to slow the players getting to higher levels?

I got none from Vegas. What the hell is happening here??? I completed the Jersey collection but the Vegas is a little bit hard to obtain.
ok now i have about 9 of everything from vegas but still no microphone

I agree with Good Little Bi**h. I think that if you’ve already mastered Jersey and Vegas, you should get the rewards automatically, seeing as you will have have to waste a couple days worth of Energy to get them, which could be spent on the places you haven’t mastered yet, which would most likely be the Grand Caymans, Chinatown and Moscow, which require a TON of energy.
Completed both Jersey and Vegas collections.
finaly completed vegas collection thanks to a gift or else i would probably still be on it

I agree with Good Little Bi**h and Aerohead, i’ve spent over 2,000 extra energy points on locations i’ve already completed and got 4 items out of 12, means a lot of time and wasted energy for nothing when I could have used that enegy at other locations, another thing missions like Help A Mob Member Disappear and Fix the Super Bowl are too harn not everybody has favour points to waste i’ve done Help A Mob Member Disappear 9 times and only have got 5 different things, make favour points easier to get (as I don’t have monwy to spend to buy them)
Can’t find the freaking microphone in Vegas, it’s all I’ve got left.
