Expired Gifts
Over the last few days we have been experiencing some issues with gifts expiring prematurely. These issues should now be resolved. If you find that this is still happening, please remember to clear your browsing data and restart your web browser. If the issue still persists, let us know and we will continue investigating.
Have you ever thought of allowing players to buy FP points using cash from the game i.e. maybe $100.000 per FP as an example
Thank you for fixing the problem but i agree with bull you should allow us to buy them through the game with our play money that we do missions to earn. OR maybe every time we win 3K fights we get a FP

for 5 days now (again) Most of my brand new gifts have expired!!!
and it is very hard enough to gift the people who have sent you gifts back the way it is–let alone send someone who’s asking/in need of something–PLEASE LEAVE US HAVE MORE GIFTS TO GIVE–
When the program doesn’t work for some of us–I am days behind gifting people back–very stressful
Thank you for acknowledging and looking into the issue. I still had a couple do it today, but far less then 10 or so I used to lose.
Need a way to boost player morale??? Knowing that all players would welcome being able collect more gifts… here’s an idea
Example: for every additional 100 members in your mob over 500 you could collect 1 additional gift per day with a cap @ 100 gifts able to be collected daily.
When are you gonna fix the Undefined error? You should implement a system that boots people out of the hospital 5 minutes after hiding there. The current hospital system is being abused by cowards that love to chain attack people and take save haven in the hospital. This is very frustrating.
When we first started playing this game you could receive 5, five!!! gifts per day, granted you could send them to urself but oh well. now we can receive 50! but send 24? ok, to complain about the limit sent.
If we don’t get an auto gift back button, or AT LEAST an explanation WHY THERE ISN’T ONE. Is there one I don’t know about?
How about this? So people can stop wasting their gifts. When I ignore a sent forged title, they should be able to send another gift then.

Third… Allow us to trade or gift inventory… i.e. I have an 30 remington 700 rifles… I want to give one to a buddy of mine who may need it… just a suggestion

I agree with bull as well with the economy these days most people can’t spend 100’s of real money on favor points. If you added the ability for us to buy favor points for every 100,000$ it would be easier for a lot of players to get in on Limited edition items. Also so no one get 1000 favor points in one day limit it to only 5 to 10 a day.
What’s up with the ‘undefined’ errors when posting a fresh kill? Gonna fix that any time soon?
Also, it’s PromBron not PromBrom. One would think you’d at least have an intern running around checking things for accuracy.
thank you for at least looking into this issue but i still find that my items expire and i only had them sent like 5 mins ago, i mean how quick do i have to accept them. i mean come on, it’s taking the mick

I’m wondering if you actually know what the problem is?
Lets see if I can explain it…. When you send gift, to 1 or more people. Sometimes there is server lag or other issues. Since when your gifting, it sends the item to person’s fb account, then connects to your server, I would guess subtracts from the person’s amount to gift and adds to person’s account that is recieving. But sometimes there is hicup, either lag, or connection problems. So half the process never gets finished. But person recieve the item, gets it. Tries to use it, but it’s expired.
Might want NOT sent it person’s FB account untill AFTER all checks are done. I’ve tested it few 1000 times, that is the issue.
You should be able to convert cash into FPs just as easily as you can convert FPs into cash.
Well, the thing is, I agree with Bull. I think that if you make this possible in Mobsters 1 and 2, more users will join and you can become a much more popular gaming company. Another nice bonus- each two times you level up, an extra favor point couldn’t hurt. Thanks- Poopsie
What’s with the “Godfather says send gifts” rubbish every time I log in? I’m not a moron, I don’t have ta be told repeatedly. Okay, I get that (ya expect) new players every now and rthen, but even once a week would be annoyin, but at least it wouldn’t be AS annoying.
Every time I log in, “Godfather says blah blah” I clicked on Missions, or Equip or whatever else, and I get this stupid message.
Is it not enough with the splach that pops up every time I accept a gift?

Where’s the lvl 75-100 ppl? Why haven’t I seen anything my level? Last time I saw somethin remotely my lvl, it was 10 lvs higher, and I still couldn’t hit it:

The lowdown? If ya puttin the targets in, ya not puttin in enough – coz I haven’t seen any. Can’t ya just set up an auto system that respawns these guys when they get whacked? They get hammered when you put them in, coz everyone’s waiting on your slow ass…

I am still having problems with the gifts
On the 31st, I completed Moscow’s get a Pol Drunk mission and did not get my “gift”. It is now impossible for me to complete Moscow.
Since the 23rd, at Plat, I have done the Raid mission 20 times and still do not have the required weapon.
This is the second week (MY CARDS) are not right last week I had 2pair at 6cards MAYBE THE 7TH was a full house well I’ll never know that because you gave a gift for a pair of KINGS-This WEEK I HAVE 4cards and your telling me to collect my 100exp when you gip me out of 4cards WIT,All this on TOP of not being able to GIFT IN A MONTH ALREADY and U people keep telling me the same crap answer We know of the problem were working on it WELL I’M WORKING ON NOT PLAYING everyone knoes PLAYDOM has way to many gliches,I’m not thanking you this time because I’m so fend up with all your crap the GODFATHEr should be ashamed of him self in the way things are run.
I just faced the problem today.i am losing a lot of my gifts.
BAN ALL PLAYDOM EMPLOYEES FROM PLAYING (”TESTING”) THE GAME. LOST MY MOTIVATION TO PLAY WHEN I KNOW I COULD BE WIPED OUT BY A CHEATER!!!
the mobsters gift revive is still messed up i tried to accept gifts and it failed.
I’m curious to see how Playdom handles a good chunk of its most dedicated players being near open revolt. I suspect they will do nothing, believing that the majority of the player base is not even aware of these problems. On the other hand, I’d imagine that the folks who pay the most to play are some of the most active on the forums and such. Overall I’m pretty impressed with how crass of a company they’ve shown themselves to be – between Playdom and Zynga, they’ve really taken Mob business practices to heart!
Your target is too low! You can’t attack a mobster lower than yourself! They can attack me yet I cannot attack them. What on earth is this???

ok bull had a good idea but i still think that that might even be too high i mean 100,000,come on, maybe 50,000 but also put a cap on it like you can only buy a certain amount per day, like, say 5-8 but that would have to go on for weeks to try to get enough fps to get one of the higher end items (bruiser, dragon warrior, etc.) i mean wtf 50 fps for a higher end item is waaaaay to high, the mother of all getaway cars is the only reasonable one because of its high stats. Other than that, he game is great and i play every day!
with as many people that play this game you would think some fresh names would pop up on the attack list. I am sick of seeing the same names on the attack list I want fresh people to attack
Implement a better gifting system Playdom. The current one we have now is absolute crap. IMO only.
I have a large mob of 677.How do I remember who sent me what? Please increase the no of gifts back to 50 and above! 24 gifts sent is not enough!!!!
Gifts are working for me now. They stopped going bad quick. Everything seems fixed. I went from the expiring in under an hour to gifts lasting 24 hours no problem.
I’m still having a few problems accepting my gifts. I guess I can’t accept any gifts that were sent during the expired gift issue.
I purchased four items yesterday and two of them did not show up on my profile or equipment list. The two that are not showing are the Chest Protector and the Dark suit & facepaint. I am also having problems accepting gifts. Will I be getting my items in the near future, I am vunerable without them.

As for the EXPIRED gifts…I’m still getting that problem.
All location information, kill info, etc is still null; …I miss the witty tag-lines for all of the locations…”We’re too rich to fight..” heh.
I’m also getting the same thing (different phrasing) for my coffee’s…It Says “Already received this gift today!” or something to that effect..
I’ve cleared my browser info, tried multiple browsers, updated, tweaked settings…I didn’t realize this was a common problem until I read this string..anyways, from the way it sounds, it’s something on the Playdom/FB side of things…
As for the in-game cash for FP…
People have to understand – from our end (the players) that’s a great idea…but realistically that’s probably never going to change much…it’s a huge source of funds for Playdom; not to mention a source with 0 overhead (maybe artwork?)…Don’t get me wrong, I’d love to be to pay $10,000 and get a FP…especially since I can only afford like 1 FP item a month heh…(I would have more, but I never get paid for my survey)
You did not fix the expired gifts problem – I’m still getting the “expired” on gifts I have just received. Also today, I cannot send any gifts – the gift page appears and when I click on Send all I get is a blank screen – none of the names appear. Please FIX this game!
Instead of the gifts just expiring, you can’t send any gifts. This is an off again on again situation. The posting window, this too is an off again on again situation.

Some of the gifts are STILL saying expired. Why can’t there just be an in-game gifting system similar to how we send and receive collectibles? ONE common place where you can go to ‘accept all’… instead of having to keep clicking back and forth… what a pain. It would make sending easier too. Just a suggestion.
Also, SOMETHING needs to be done to stop people from hiding in the hospital. Some people run scripts to punch themselves in the face thereby keeping them in the hospital. Two things: 1) Disable the ability to punch yourself in the face and 2) disable people from traveling, doing missions, doing ANYTHING really while they’re in the hospital. The hospital should NOT be a hiding place.
You still need to fix the expired gifts crap. This is getting OLD! just eliminate it and then we don’t have to worry about it.
So since the updates have been going through on FB… there seems to be a new glitch with gifting. I get a blank screen and am unable to send gifts to any of my mob. I have cleared cookies, etc, but it continues to fail and from multiple computers (different locations).
Also, the new triad gifting… have you tested this yet??? I have been unable to send out those gifts to anyone. I get the box that states to select a friend, yet no list appears to select from, and I am unable to type in a name to select.

I have lost so many gifts because of them expireing. They say they are working on it but it doesnt seem to be getting fixed. And what about the ones we lost? I lost 4 Sleeper agents. I still dont have one and thier not being offered anymore???? When is this getting fixed. I cant send any of the mystery gifts and those say expire too……
I think it would be a great idea if you allowed people to trade in old items that cost favor points, so that they can get new ones…. obviously playdom needs to make its money of selling the FP but you could at least by them back for half of what they cost the players.
I have had a number of different problems with my gifts over the last week or so. The new gang war send mystery gift does not work at all. I get the list of names and when I try to send nothing happens. I also have had my gifts cut short. After only 8 gifts sent I was told that I cannot send anymore gifts that day to try again tomorrow. Last, the gifts that I have received from other mobbies have expired within minutes of them sending to me. Was on chat with them when they sent them and when I went to collect them they were expired. This has happened over the last two days. Thanks for working on it!
I accepted 4 sleeper agents yesterday, and one of the four was marked as expired, so obviously something is still happening.
Received 1 gift, then got the pop up saying received all 50 gifts.
i can’t send gifts. The names of mob 2 are not showing up. How do I fix this?
Why is the screen going black when I try to send gifts and also they are still showing expired and I know it has only been there with in the hour. This is new to me why when the mission has been completed tiy do not get the loot? Why make it platinum if you don’t get the loot you worked for. I have went back and used to many to count of engery and still not loot. This is not fair and makes people not want to play the game
I am still having gifts expire within a half hour of receiving them, still having my connection to Facebook lost when trying to claim gifts, bottom line is I’ve lost 4 gifts so far today. I’d say this problem is not fixed. I also spent 16 FP on two police badges and got one punch out of each of them. Is that something else that’s new?

This is just a question: Neither a complaint of any kind or anything else; I would like to know why we can not use 2 accessories or tattoos. Two tops, bottoms or weapons are unnecessary but a set of glasses and a hat or a hat and the fur coat would be nice to use. Just having completed Moscow, my avatar has accessories that could be used as both one introductory item an a mastery item to wear in a category.
I received two mystery gifts today from the gang war gifting and when I clicked on them, it said I had already received my limit for today on mystery gifts. I HAD NOT RECEIVED ANY!!! Please fix as these gifts are hard enough to get anyway. So, I lost two mystery gang war gifts that I was lucky enough to be given.

All of my gifts but my coffees are expired even though i it was sent minutes before and i also get I have have reached my limit for bonuses when i have only got 1 or 2!!!!!!!!!!! I nleft Mafia wars for the same reson and don’t want to quit this, it is my fav app!
How long does i take for your techs to correct the problem of expired gifts?? This has been going on for several days. Might want to consider more experienced techs to get this resolved.
